i have worked in the fast food biz for like 5 years before going to upscale restruant cook wich i am currently a manager and about to go to italy to learn some new recipies for the restraunt. but anyway, at my time working fast food i often ran drive thru and rarely messed an order up. most of the time when an order got messed up it was not really the employees fault, sometimes it was though. it was usually orders where people would order a million things then take half the things off, then change thier order like 50 freakin times and then complain when they were missing a taco. alot of time the speaker doesnt even work right and it will cut out or fuzz up and its hard to get the order right. and sometimes its just a new guy that doesnt know what hes doing yet. but all in all if you say somthing then they will be glad to fix it for you. just dont be rude cause people will spit in your food or drink. mabey drop your stuff on the floor on purpose or rub it on thier butt or somthing gross like that. this does not just apply to fast food either, people will do this to your food at any restraunt, high class restruants acually are worse with that kinda stuff cause they are expierianced cooks and will not tolorate some one talkin trash about how they cant cook or about thier intelligence and they may mess with your food too if you are being rude to the waitstaff. so in short if something gets messed up on your order be nice and polite when you complain or odds are you will be eating somthing that would probly make you vomit if you knew you were eating it. they are good at hiding it too. i dont go to fast food places either any more cuase i would rather eat at a sit down and order place but just a heads up on complaining to the people that ultimatly choose what you stick in your mouth.

Although i've never been to a drivr thru ! (and yes i know it's only a typo, lol ) i have been yhru the drive thru at several resturaunts, and either children are working there and don't care and sometimes in my belief deliberately get the orders wrong just to be funny, or at least they think they are, but if we could prove it they would all have black and blue bodies from all the beatings from their customers whose hard earned money and very hard work was spent to purchase services and food that they did not receive. or you have (mcdonalds) who has almost nothing but illegal hispanics working there who either do not speak or understand english, or if they do , pretend they don't in order to play the innocent bit, and to deliberately punish the gringo's, and have fun doing it !, either way you can never get what you pay for or order, they never never get it right, i think it's time to boycot all fast food resturaunts, and petition them to resolve these problems or go out of business and make way for those who will deliver what they promise , have it your way, that's a laugh and have even had burger king managers tell me that if i want it my way , that i should make it myself at home, and then order me out of their resturaunt for simply asking in a respectful and proper manner !go figure, i actually thought that they had truth in their advertising, and now with all the different resturaunts having ecoli outbreaks and botchulisum, perhaps we are safer eating at home and cooking for ourselves !

I find it depends on the place. In a town in NJ where we used to llive, you could count on the order ALWAYS being incorrect. Yet, in another town, it was always perfect.

I figure it this way. It depends on the management. If they treat their employees like people and show appreciation for the work being done, the employees take pride in doing the job right.

And of course, it depends on the customers. We have to remember they are people and deserve our respect -- even when the order gets mixed up OCCASIONALLY......

It's best not to order anything special, or it will confuse them. If you don't like tomatoes on your whopper, just take the slimy thing off and throw it in the parking lot for the bugs to eat. If you want your fries without salt, you will have to wait and everyone behind you will get ticked off. If you order your drink without ice in it, they will give you half as many fries to make up for it. No such thing as a free lunch, or a perfect one.

*90% of the time certain lower-class restaurants like "Jack in the Box" "McDonalds""Taco Bell""Wendy's""Burger King" etc....seem to always give me extra stuff, and not my stuff. or incomplete orders....sigh....I stick to my "CLASS" restaurants...not to be a total snob, since I still eat my In N Out....but The restaurants I have previously mentioned have dissapointed me in so many ways....I hate complaining, but when you're hungry and you're willing to pay ANY price for food (lol) you expect good service, now isn't that right?....geesh not even Chick-Fil-A or Steak-N-Shake (which in my "book" are still Lower-class, cuz its still junk food)...what about you? what have you experienced before that has changed your mind completely about drive-tru's...oh and don't you hate when the guy worker's sometimes try to flirt with you?...disgusting hu?

Usually they are pretty acurate, even large orders, as long as they speak my language. If not there is a communication gap!!!
