"Apply and try!" Is all I can say. I was home-schooled as an at-risk student by the state of Texas due to illness, and nobody, not even my parents, believed I would even graduate from high school, but I did. I went to a college in my city and brought up my grades, and then I applied to the University of Texas. I graduated with a 3.9 average and am a teacher. So YES it is possible. It will take determination and work, but don't give up on your dreams. Retake tests if you have to. Brag on college ap about your determination and commitment and especially about your extra curricular activities, church included if applicable, and volunteer work of ANY kind.
P.S. I am sure that you have a better chance of going straight to Rutgers than I did of going straight to U.T., because I wasn't as involved in school as you sound. But I will be thinking of you and hoping for you, so when you make it remember what I said. :)
Also do not take seriously any ill-intentioned advice you may receive from anyone else.

Any of the selective yet no longer somewhat aggressive inner most or public faculties. imagine UMass Amherst, Amherst college, James Madison college, Warren Wilson college, Wake Forrest, UNC Chapel Hill, UC Santa Barbara... You get drift. To the guy decrease than, Emory isn't an appropriate decision for this individual. GPA is a few distance too low and attempt rankings are not to any extent further superb adequate. Emory is touted as between the "New Ivies" and is somewhat selective. also, i comprehend particularly some those who were given into Amherst, Smith and Hampshire college with stats and rankings no longer compared to those. no longer particular the position you're starting to be your information.

Probably won't be able to make it. Your sentences don't make sense, and you don't know how to spell or use spell check.

My impression is that you don't have any attention to details. That won't be good in college. Learn what an apostrophe is.

Give it a try but also apply to other schools.
