Ipod is apple's version of an MP3 Player, and it runs off of Itunes, which is a really easy program to work with. Also the new ipod's now have video capability so they do more then just music. Ipod's are better

An ipod is an MP3 player. The difference is that the 1st one is the last generation of Mp3s, with more capacity, and therefore a LOT more expensive. The other kind of Mp3, you know the small, thin ones, has less capacity, and less technologies. Many ipods can be used even for watching videos or movies, depending on the ipod, things that with a regular Mp3 you cant even dream to to.

Nothing really, except some Mp3's don't play videos like Ipods. Not to mention Ipods are expensive as all get out while MP3's normally only range from anywhere to $20-$200 dollars while Ipods are like $60-$700 and whatnot. Hope this helps! ^.^

It depends on the iPod, but some can do more than an MP3 player. I have a video iPod and it plays movies, tv shows, music videos. I can play games on it, plus it will sync with Microsoft outlook or other Microsoft programs. I really enjoy the iPod and I think is was the greatest gift I have ever received.

An Ipod is the best Mp3 Player out there. No one else comes close. They are basically the same thing, but the Ipod is #1 when it comes to looks, style, coolness, easyness, and entertainment for movies, books, TV shows alike.

mp3 players play mp3s. ipods play their own special format. just try playing an itunes song on a mp3 and you'll see. the reason ipods can play mp3 is because the software converts the music to its own compatible format.

They are basically the same thing, but just look differently.
but iPod can play Apple protected music, if you bought it off iTunes and it cannot play WMA files. however iTunes provides a converter so its really no problem. unless the file is protected
A MP3 player can play WMA files usually and not iTunes protected songs.
Basically they are the same.

none. an ipod IS an mp3 but mp3s arent always ipods. like a square is a rectangle but a rectangle isnt always a square
