It's not bad. My son had stomach problems and this was also the only thing that made him relaxed enough to sleep. He spent many nights and days in his swing and at 3 and a half, he is a fine little man.

My son had acid reflux and would scream every time I laid him flat. The only time he would sleep was in the swing. We went out and bought the best most comfortable swing we could find. I felt like a horrible mother but I was useless to my kids on only 3 hours of sleep. (I would finally give up at 4 AM and put him in his swing) Anyway, I asked the doctor what I could do as an alternative and he said Keep him in his swing! He said he would eventually outgrow it and he did. I still tried during the day, with naps, putting him in his crib and eventually he slept in his crib during the night. I bought him a crib wedge to elevate his head and this seemed to help.
I guess my point is, it isn't bad at all. You need to rest and your daughter needs her rest. Good luck and don't worry. This stage will pass.

Just make sure that she faces both directions and that her head isn't always to the right or always to the left when she sleeps as babies have a tendendcy to do that, which can lead to infant torticollis. My daughter got this at three months old due to having her head face the same direction all the time. She, too, got a flat spot (flat head syndrom) on the back of her head.

No it is fine.
It is possible she has some reflux. Try propping up her crib by placing books under the legs of one end (10-15degrees I think is what the recommend.... http://www.askdrsears.com/html/10/t106000.asp says 30 degrees). Do not prop up the mattress. This may allow her to sleep more comfortably in her crib.
Also check out the Ambi Bed. I know it is expensive, but that is one of the best ways for babies to sleep and it isn't flat AT ALL so babies do not need to be flat.

I don't think so, I would ask the doctor to be sure. But I have a friend whose daughter was the same way she didn't sleep in a crib on her back until she was like 6 months or so and she is fine.

Don't worry. My daughter would only sleep in her car seat for the first few months. We had one of those seats that fits into a stroller frame, a frame in the car or can be carried. She just loved being in it and would not sleep anywhere else.
She is now 11 years old and has only ever seen a doctor for regular checkups and shots.

It's certainly not bad for her physically, but newborn habits are very hard to break. Keep putting her in her bassinet at night, she might fuss a little but she will begin to get more comfortable with it the longer she stays in it.

This is fine for now, but you will want to try and get her to sleep in her crib pretty soon. Try different positions, like on her side. When she gets a few months older this could be dangerous as she may be able to squirm out of a bouncy, my son could.

Yeah that's large! I used to place my son in his bouncer to sleep b/c he might sleep plenty longer in there than he might in his cot in the time of the day! He would not even like sitting in it now so he's decrease back interior the cot at nap time!

It's not good for her body or anything else. She will sleep much better when you have her trained to sleep in her bed. One of my children hated her bassinet. I moved her into the crib and she was fine. Try propping her on her side or putting on her belly. (Contrary to popular belief, it really is okay.) And it's also okay to let her cry. It might take a couple of nights, but you can train her to sleep in her crib. Good luck!
