Because it is filled with societal expectations that certainly can not be met.
To avoid the sadness, create realistic expectations and work to enjoy the season.
Remember, every tantrum is the result of disappointment. Think about it, you'll agree.

It is true I think its because there are so many people in this world that can not afford Christmas and with it so commercialised that people feel like they are a failures when they can not provide for there own families for isn't it suppose to be full of Joy and cheer and can you imagine being a father or a mother and not being able to give your children Christmas presents for put food on the table . Not only that but there are so many lonely people out there that have no-one at all to spend their Christmas with. Yes Christmas can be such a Sad time for so many people for so many reasons

It can be, but it doesn't have to be. Maybe sad because of who's not around anymore, or sad because you're not a child anymore. The times they change and people change, and celebrations change. When it comes down to it tho--Christmas is what it has always been and hopefully always will be--a time of celebration, happiness, rejoicing. It's not about what's happening now--it's about what happened

Sad? Probably if you have no loved ones to spend it with, I can only imagine why it would be a sad day for some.

I think its because we have taken the true meaning out of Christmas and made it so commerical today. Remeber Jesus was born in a stable and he had very little in life. Then we look around at our world and all of its problems, and if you are like me when Im warm at night I often pray for the homeless prople that are cold. this just breaks my heart. Put then we all should be thankful for our fmilies to enjoy this holiday together. I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Because it is boring, and you have to spend time with your family and because my mum works on christmas, dad and nan cook and stuff it up every time, last year the turkey was eaten by ants because they left it out and forgot about it, i wonder what will happen this year.
