I am 8 months pregnant, and everytime I have sex with my partner, I feel very slight cramping and m vagina becomes very sore. I asked the gynocologist about it, and he said its normal as long as we are not being rough (which we arent) and some other factors which dont apply to us. I just want some reassurance that this is common because it worries me of how sore I become after engaging in the act, is it because I am close to my due date? should i hault on sex until after the baby is born and I am given the okay by the doctor? Please give me any feedback you can! thanks!

the reason your having cramping is 2 reasons 1 sperm has prostaglandins a hormone that is involved in ripening up the cervix prior to labor and stimulate Uterine contractions also your orgasm stimulates contractions. both are OK as long as your contraction dissipate after a couple of hours after sex and your cervix is not actively dilating. but as long as your comfortable with having sex and your Doctor has not advised you to stop there is no medical reason not to

Firstly you did the right thing by asking your doctor. 5 kudos to you!! And your doctor is right - it's normal. Sounds like your having your first child. I too was sore after sex during my pregnancy. One reason my doctor explained is due to the pressure, weight of the baby and being you're so far into the pregnancy you become more sensitive because the lining is beginning to thin and wear (which is natural) in order to give birth. Your pelvic bones are "natually" beginning to spread - making room for the birth canal.. this is all natural. Just be careful, and sex must be more gental so not to induce labor. Which you'd still have to be pretty rough to cause this. Cut and Paste the links below - this may better answer your question.

CONGRATULATIONS WITH YOUR NEW BABY! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!

Yes it is common KY can be helpfull as your the lubricant your body produces changes prior to birth. Also you may feel pain or painless contraction during sex now or soon. Best of Luck

when i was pregnant the doctor told me that it was okay as long as it didn't hurt in any way at 8 months i think because it hurts even after that i would stop maybe you are gonna go into labor sooner than you think i would be careful

I had this problem too. It's great that you're having sex this late in pregnancy! Good for you! If you feel like having sex, go for it. Soon you'll be too exhausted . . .

i think it is ok if your doctor says it is, because once you get into your last mons of pregnancy it is always uncomfortable. but its safe so i wouldnt worry unless there is a blood discharge or really bad cramping. good luck!!

maybe you should try different positions.. i don't know of anyone personally who's had that problem.. or maybe they just didn't do it for 9 months.. but you've only got another 4 weeks left to go.. is the pain really worth it..??
