It doesn't take a village, it just takes parents who are willing to invest time and values into their children and to put them first above their own wants and needs.

I think perhaps your taking the expression "It takes a village" a little too literally. Besides, in many cases I think having a communal kid pool like you describe would be detrimental. Do you think Mom "A" with a little time on her had and opens her doors up to all the little kids in the neighborhood to adequately take care of all their needs ... Education, feeding, diapering, entertaining etc. Not a chance. I'm not going to (again) discuss the merits of day cares because I'm not out to change your opinion. All I can say is that I think the scenario you outline above would actually be hazardous and dangerous. Also, who's to say the "neighbors and fellow mothers informally" are qualified to look after kids. Does having children of your own automatically make you a child care provider? I'd say no. In fact, there are a lot of unfit parents out there that I wouldn't let take care of my pets, let alone my child!!! There's a reason people go to College and University to become Early Childhood Educators!

What this statement implies is basically Socialism. The idea that if an individual decides to deny their own responsibilities towards their children and abandons them for selfish reasons. Instead of a community demanding accountability from them, their lack of responsibility is rather fascilitated and coddled.
This is the dream that Hillary Clinton envisions. A Socialist Society where no one is challenged to be a better person for fear of offending them and their chosen lifestyle.

I agree with it because that means I get to affect other peoples' kids in ways they think is wrong because they've never thought a thought about it.
And if ppl don't agrre with THAT then they need to stay out of MY life and the life of my family; and stop taxing me and giving it to other people to use for their schools.

No they can get by with their "Wayne's World" parents who put ear spools in their ears so they will look "cool" at the Wrestling matches.
