I say that Steve Nash would make an awesome coach for point guards, but the reason why he should become a coach later on in his career is because he is only great in the position, Point Guard. He's not a good Shooting Guard, any kind of forward, and definitely not a good kind of Center. Not saying that all coaches have to be good at all postions to be a good coach. Look at Phil Jackson, he knows a lot about all the different positions. But Steve doesn't know that much.

That is why I think that Kevin Garnett would be my first pick. He plays very good now or used to be. Knowing how to play the five positions. He can make the drills very easily. Also, I think if he wants to become a coach instead of retireing, it's about time. They'll need the luck of the draw if Allen Iverson will be traded to TWolves so I think he should retire or become a coach. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Although Steve Nash and Jason Kidd come to mind they are really true point guards and wouldn't know how to coach a big man. Someone like Tayshan Prince or Shane Battier would be good due to the fact that they are all around players who can handle the ball to a degree and can post up. Their defense is excellent and they are team players. They could teach some of the younger players how to impact a game without having to big the star player on the team. Winning comes first.

Sam Cassell, Jason Kidd, Tim Duncan, Shane Battier.

Marbury definitely would not(have you watched him play before? or noticed that he never gets along with his coaches?)

I think Garnett would have the same problem as Sam Mitchell is having. Too intense, which makes the players not like the coach.

Bowen doesn't understand offense well enough. Just about any NBA player can explain how the triangle offense works. But if you watch Bowen, he doesn't seem to have a great understanding of offense. If he did, he would be a better scorer and passer than he is.

Some guys I think would be good is Steve Nash, Bruce Bowen, and Derek Fisher. Steve Nash really understands the game and would be good in creating an fast offensive team like the Suns right now. Bruce Bowen also understands the game well, I was watching this interview of him in which he explained how the triangle offense worked. Plus he plays good defense and can teach a lot of players to play good defense. Bowen also looks good in a suit on the sideline. Derek Fisher is another guy I liked to throw in.

Great question man, tough choice..I would have to say a big man.. that can play mostly any position.. that could have young players and old players develop there game.. to me.. i would say Dirk.. his fundementals for the game is amazing. can shoot from anywhere.. post up man.. with a sweet fade away.. 3 point shooter.. a great teammate that helps the players around him. overall an outstanding player. Would fit perfectly as a coach in my opinion. and he has a really good attitude. What else do you need? wouldnt look bad as a coach either.

Steve Nash because is one of the very few star players in NBA that not only knows the importance of working as a team but actually demonstrates it.
