needy? We can't even provide medical care for all of our citizens, and can't seem to provide decent medical care even for our veterans. Why are we sending our money to other countries?

I actually agree and I'm *gasp* a liberal! We can't help anyone if we can't help ourselves. We need to help our own people before we can help anyone else. Otherwise, we end up with no internal resources with which to be an effecive world power or an effective world aide benefactor!

Because America is a member of the United Nations and has resolved to abide by these things under UN charters.

America could still do these things and provide everything you need if it didnt keep pooring the taxpayers money in to the military and an unwinnable war.

Your GRANDCHILDREN will be paying taxes to pay off George Bush's war of terror.

Not only that but also the reparartions the UN will require them to make.

It all depends on what kind of aid you are talking about. The US will always send money to other countries for military aid. Before Iraq, Israel was the largest recipient of US aid. Colombia was the second for fighting the war on drugs. Most of it is stolen thou, kept by the corrupt government of Colombia to fatten their politicians' bank accounts. The US probably has enough money to feed and provide free health care for every citizen in the US, and probably the world. But it is a capitalist dominated world, and equal distribution of riches is not something that capitalism offers. Isn't it ironic that we are spending billions per week on Iraq, yet we are not providing adequately for the 10's of thousands of soldiers that are coming back from Iraq wounded.

No dung pile, this is the BEST question (tonight so far). America gives aid to any country which asks because it is just like getting a foot in the door that can never be closed. PNAC and APAC could care less if every poor American died in a heart beat. Case in point, Hurricane Katrina and the Great American Enema.

I am the Fringe and money goes where it can earn mo' money!

I've been asking that question for many many years. The rich politicians don't really give a rat's a-s-s about the needy in this country as long as they can line their pockets with gold. One way to do that is bride other countries with our money that allows us to go into their country and strip off everything big business can get and in turn pay off the politicians with favors, etc. Our government truly is controlled by big business and the almighty dollar.

Democrats don't seem to be all unhealthy. Many Republican presidents have used Democrats ago. And the intent Democrats aren't continuously elected is considering the fact that they prefer to be peaceable. Let me ask you a typical feel query right here: Do you feel it is a well thought to head over and unfold peace with nuclear bombs? No! Because then you definitely come to be a hypocrite. Democrats do not move to the enemy. They simply do not combat the enemy.

The US gives as much assistance to needy than any country.
They must apply & work through the system. Are you suggesting we let the poor children in straving countries die?

Good question !!!!! we could live in such a better place if we had all the money sent abroad. But as a world power we have international responsibilities. It`s kinda like the guy at the bar that doesn`t have a pot to piss in but to look good in front of everyone blows his bill money buying other peoples drinks.

Even if here in this country we have needy people, there are programs and organizations to help these people in need. In other countries, this is not the case. The only help they will receive is through our aid.

I wish I could answer this question. I do see so many homeless vets here in San Antonio. Hopefully things change.
