I'm not sure what you're asking but I guess you're asking about osmosis (movement or diffusion of water across the cell membrane).

If too much water move out of the cell toward higher concentration of solutes, this will cause the cell to shrivel or shrink. This happens in "Hyperosmotic" solution.

If too much water move into the cell toward higher concentration of solutes (inside the cell), this will cause the cell to explode or burst. This happens in the "Hypoosmotic" solution.

If water diffuses into and out of the cell at the same rate, then the cell stay normal. This happens in "Isosmotic" solution.

Extra: in animal cells, Isosmotic is normal. But in plant cells, Hypoosmotic is normal.
