It is well known that Charles and Camilla were intimate before Charles even met Diana, and had Camilla been willing to wait, she would likely have been his first wife. But that's past history.
At this point in time, it is impossible to compare Diana and Camilla, especially given the media circus that the whole thing has become. And as I don't know either of them personally, I couldn't give an opinion on either one, much less compare them.

Throw the meat is a tad crude my friend. Charles and Camilla dated for many years in the 1970s. She was deemed unsuitable as a future Queen as she is catholic and was not a virgin at the time. She went on to marry his best friend at the time Andrew Parker Bowles and had two children. Charles went on to marry Lady Diana and they had two children. Charles and Camilla continued to see each other throughout their respective marriages so to kind of answer your question, over thirty years! This helped to undermine and eventually destroy both marriages. Some people say that Diana manipulate the press to appear the innocent victim. Now people are realising that Charles too has played the media. A few well stage events/sightings and he apparently receives approval for marriage to Camilla. Diana is now conveniently out of the picture (!) and Camilla's ex-husband quickly re-married! Camilla was not blessed with good looks but Charles loved her regardless and he is no oil-painting either. She will never be queen. The law of the land says she will be known as consort or some such foolishness.

I think they are a very well suited couple. More so than he hever was with Diana.
However, I do think that they used Diana's youth to further their own agenda. They slept together the night before he got married & if that it not a sign to Charles to stay single then I really don't know what is.
I think they allowed his sense of duty & the need for an "heir & a spare" to make a very pleasant young woman's life miserable for a good many years. I think it amounts to cruelty by Charles to marry a woman he clearly did not love (I refer to his comment in a BBC interview when asked about being in love. He replied "What is love anyway"? Hardly the answer of a man in love.)
The only really good thing to come from this fiasco was the boys.
Diana clearly was besotted by them & they with her.
A very sad affair all round.

30 yrs off n on (maybe always on) No comparison, Diana wins hands down. Charles may hv always loved Camilla, but not enough to go against the grain n marry her from the begining. He should hv done so n not use Diana. Camilla should hv had the decency to stay away once he was married, theres no way that she n Charles could believe that Diana would not find out about them n not b hurt. Once he chose to marry a "suitable" woman, he should hv stuck it out with her.

She is female I think?, comparing them Diana was a people person fun loving and sincere. The other give her a biscuit i find her aloof a bit out of touch nowhere near the qualities of Diana.

They were having a romance from when they were young but she was an unacceptable person to marry prince Charles as she had been married . The king or Queen is a figure head of the church who don`t believe in divorce so at that time it wasn`t appropriate.The same thing happened to Princess Margaret the Queens sister .who also had a very un happy life for the same reason and it`s the same reason why the Queens uncle had to choose between being king and mrs Simpson

I HATE PRINCE CHARLES NEW WIFE, HE HAS BEEN HAVIN AN AFFAIR WITH HIS NEW WIFE FOR LIKE 20 PLUS YEARS, THEY WERE FRIENDS BEFORE HE AND DIANA GOT MARRIED THEY COULD MARRY COS CHAMILA WAS NOT IN THAT CATERGORY! IF U UNDERSTAND!!!! DIANA KNEW THAT CHARLES WAS BEING UNFAITHFUL FROM ALONG TIME AGO! WHEN PRINCE WILLIAM WASLIKE 1 OR 2 YEARS OLD!!

I dont know how long he threw the meat but she is a horrible person because she split those two up and as soon as Diana died, they were up for getting married.
Im ashamed to come from Britain because its just been rubbed in our faces.

Apparently they were sweethearts before the royal family set up his marriage to Diana. As with life there, only a few servants know all the details about C & C .
