The best way to determine the sex of a bay is to have an ultrasound around 20 weeks. Going by myths are not always correct so I wouldn't go by them. I threw up and had a lot of morning sickness and I am having a boy so don't believe everything you hear.

Total myth. When I was pregnant with my son, I barely held food down for the entire 9 months, my face broke out with terrible acne, and had major water retention. Everyone swore I was having a girl because the myth is if you experience bad skin, weight problems, sickness, etc you are defiantly having a girl. Well...that myth proved wrong. If you sister in law wants to find out the sex, she can know during the 4th or 5th month.

the only sure way is to have a sonagram done and if it laying rite you can see the privates other wise all of that means nothing i threw up all 9 months with both of mine all day long one boy one girl the only thing that may work is if its a boy the heart rate is usually a little slower then for a girl but then again its just a guess

Girls have a vagina and boys have a penis.
There many Wives Tells on this. I have heard if the Baby hang low, it a boy, if the baby sit high it a girl. This Belly Position. I have seen this, but, it probably just coincidence.

you can wait until the ultrasound at around 20 weeks, and they will probably be more accurate than an old wives tale. maybe some of that is true. i never had morning sickness, and i'm having a boy. so it might be true

I can tell you from experience that every pregnancy is different, no matter the sex of the baby. Ultrasounds are pretty accurate, but childbirth is the only 100% sure way to know. (I had four kids, three girls, each pregnancy very different. )

With my son, I was never sick and felt WONDERFUL. I carried him low and looked like I had a tire around my tummy.
With my daughter, I was so sick. I had no energy, I was emotional and I was miserable. I looked like I had a big beach ball under my shirt by the time I delivered.

When the baby is born, everybody will know.. there is no 100% way of telling.. ultrasounds are pretty accurate.. but not failproof..
