the wind tore at her long tangled hair. Her dirt encrusted fingernails clawed her tear-streaked face. she fell to the body of her handsome lover, crushed by the deadly hooves.

An adjective is a word that helps describe a noun. For example:
you could say "blue water" which isn't very descriptive because there are so many shades of blue, or you could be more vivid and say "turqoise water" which narrows it down and gives the reader a more apt picture.

Well first, read more. The more you read, the better you understand how professional writers write. Get inspiration. Dreams are great for this. Use the world around you and your own experiences to create your book. When developing characters maybe use a personality of a person you know. Always keep a pen and paper in pad, so when jolts of inspiration hit, you are ready to write them down, knowing you wont forget them. Plan your story out, but not too much. Ideas will change and you shouldn't have every little detail planned out. Use your senses, or similes. For example instead of saying, "I felt like a fire was inside me." Say "A fiery sensation burned inside me, as if I was a second from burning into ashes." Also remember not to over explain. Keep it short and sweet, otherwise it will sound like you are trying to hard to be good. Hope it helped!

For vivid you need color .You know There was a French nobleman whose cheeks{face} were so BLUSHED he and all his sons forevermore inheirited the family name ROUGE`And msr. was one very violent man.I think he was called ROUGE `because of all the SCARLET he brought forth.RED bright blood, that is.Like cops nickname after actions rather then characteristics.A RED NECK is vivid ,dont you think? And you know what a BLUE WARRIER is ,right? There is no question about what a YELLOW BELLY is, is there? It aint JUANDICED.YELLOW is chicken. Lets skip the brown colors. You just watch and colors will have lots of meaning. My favorite is PINK.,unless I am lookin at a womans eyes ,then I like BLUE again. A RAINBOW you know. And a prince on a BLACK horse
