I have also heard left side!! Doctors, books, and friends (from their docs.) all say left. Now I have also heard that the right is not bad - it's just that the circulation on the left is better. But, flat on your back is not good - the baby's weight along with the uterus, placenta, water and all that good stuff sits right on top of the vena cava (major blood artery). Good luck!

Left. Your circulation is better if you lay on your left side. My son claimed the rigth side of my body when I was pregnant too. He would kick like crazy if I invaded his space!

left side is best because it helps the blood to flow better. but if you're comfortable on the right its fine. i've asked this question millions of times already. but i know what you mean. i change sides when baby is moving like that. when she calms down i change again.
love jen.

because of the fact laying on your left part enables your coronary heart pump as effectively as achieveable and shop your flow up. This additionally enables greater foodstuff attain the placenta and the toddler. :) Your ideal part is nice, particularly seeing it is so annoying to get gentle for the duration of being pregnant and you would be able to desire to get some good sleep. Laying on your back is discouraged because of the fact the burden of the toddler would reason worked respiratory and laying on your abdomen is discouraged for obvious motives...you do no longer opt for to squish the toddler. you're nice to place on the right part, yet attempt to make the attempt to place on the left part. Congrats on the being pregnant and robust luck!
