I received a gift certificate for a video rental store last year, from a co-worker. When I received it, I though it was a nice gift. It was approximately $25. However, each time I used it, about five times in total, I thought this is great gift and I though about the person when I used it.

A gift card from a really cool, unique restaurant is always good. Be sure it's a good restaurant, of course! Here in Phoenix, we have Pei Wei, which is Asian food. It's awesome! Something like that would make a great gift!

My favorite gift card I have been given as a gift was from Olive Garden (any nice restaurant would be nice). Walmart is always good too. You could get more for less :)
