Most of the teams with playoff hopes are somewhat expected...except for the only "dark horse".....the New Orleans Saints! New QB, New head coach, and in first place? Not to many people predicted this!!!!

The darkhorse is clearly the Jacksonville Jaguars. To be a darkhorse, you actually have to be a horse that is in the race. With all do respect to Mr. Young, his team is out of contention. Vince is actually better than a darkhorse for rookie of the year contention, though. Back to the subject- Jacksonville's losses were to the dregs of the league. They were sloppy, sloppy games. Meanwhile, it has beaten some of the best of the best. While I do not expect them to win it all, they have a good chance to surprise a ton of people. That is my definition of dark horse.

of all the teams in playoff contention everyone that is'nt a division leader has been refered to as a hark horse.
picks have included the jaguars, saints and bears.
A dark horse has been used to not only label a team
that is making a mid season or late season surge.Cant say the saints are a dark horse cause their record previously, makes them a cinderella team(worst to first
then the bubble bursts)
some say its the bears but the bears were good a year
ago so they're just evolving and maturing as time goes
by.
can't be the colts, pats, cowboys or sandiego cause they're doin whats expected.
so its going to be a team that oppitomizes the dark horse
creshendo and that is of an animal moving up from
somewhere in the middle of the pack to take the lead.
their motto could be "we will be mediocre nevermore"
10-3,not really a barnstormer of and offense, good kicker
a defense as stingy and frightning as the one in '00
premeir quarterback.if they do go on to win they would
fit the bill cause another endearing quality of the dark
horse is being voted most likley not to win it all.
this dark horse is non-other than the baltimore ravens.
don't think so? something else about a dark horse,it's
never picked to be one till it wins one.

AFC...Jacksonville, nobody is paying much attention to them and they could be a very dangerous playoff opponent. Rock solid Defense and a strong running game...kinda the same recipe the Steelers used last year.
NFC...N.O. Saints, for some reason most people still arent taking them very seriously. They'd better start, this team has a lot going for it (not the least of which is because of the Hurricane, they seem inspired to prove something).

Broncos, or the Colts. Vince Young plays for the Titans, the mascot is not a horse so, no it's not his team. J/K

Definitely the Saints. Especially after the way they played Dallas!
And they got R. Bush as an added bonus.

no one is looking at them now but wait until they get everyone healthy again...they're gonna make a run for the title as the steelers did last year
