you may want to wean, but does your baby want to?
pump and store your milk, mix half and half, but also know that she maybe become bound up from the formula (cant poop) this could also answer why she doesn't like formula.

A baby needs breast milk or formula for the first year of their life for nutrition. So you have to pick one unfortunately. If you seriously want to wean her then you need to find a good formula - if she is breastfed now Ive heard a lot of BF baby's like Nestle Good Start formula... I agree with the previous poster about how to mix them together and slowly make the bottle more formula then breast milk.... also if the baby doens't see or smell you, then it would be easier - so thats why a lot of moms have daddy or a friend/family member feed the baby.
For what it's worth - nursing is the best and most nutritious for your child so if you can continue, it would be best for her. But it's a personal choice. Personally for me I'll be breastfeeding until my daughter is at least a year and then will wean when she is ready after that.

Want to wean her from the breast to formula or off of formula?
If you mean off the breast, just mix half formula (already mixed with water) and half breast milk. Dont be around when she gets these feedings, leave the room completely and have daddy or grandma feed her. If you arent there, then you arent an option. After a few days she will be used to drinking from a bottle and you can start feeding her yourself with all formula

Keep nursing! At five months, it may still feel like all you do is nurse. In another month, baby will start solids and water in a sippy cup. You may find yourself missing those precious nursing sessions. I think about it like this: I'll take care of my baby for at least 18 years. One year of nursing isn't very long when you consider the big picture. Soon you'll be saying, "Didn't she grow up fast?" You're doing a great job!

Get a cheap pump and mix breastmilk in with formula. Start out with one once formula, 3 ounces of breastmilk, and gradually over a week or two increase the ratio.

Hang in there for another few months of breastfeeding. It's the best gift you can give your baby. You have to put her needs first. She'll be a teenager soon enough!

My baby hated warm formula...the weather is very hot anyway. he liked it cold from the fridge. She will need time to adjust to the formula and appear to hate it, its more likely she hates being away from the breast.
