the louvre museum is located in the old palais royale of louis the 14th near the river seine and place de la concorde in central paris, france. it is home to some of the world's greatest works of art including the mona lisa. it was once a palace and if you see it in person you will understand why the French had their revolution. wretched excess, but it makes a beautiful museum.
