Instinct is based on a situational feel for danger or energy in your surroundings. A Hunch has an intellectual component... it is based on weighing the options for the best choice. Both are useful... though I probably rely more on instinct... at least when it comes to relating to people.

INSTINCT - my hunches usually are D.O.A.
I've learned to trust my instincts, they almost never let me down. I've tried to ignore them sometimes, but that just leads to pain and suffering for me. When someone tells you to go with that gut feeling, they're usually right. Hunches are limited to personal interpretation, but instinct comes from a level even deeper, and more powerful.
