my lawyer issued me a temporary receipt when i made a full and final payment for the legal fee, but later my lawyer send me a bill stated that there are some imbursement fees that i still need to settle, i felt i was cheated. i have made a complaint to the law society , but they could not help? can any body advice me what shall i do ? thanks

It is entirely possible that the lawyer made a mistake. Your fee agreement should state whether or not you responsible for the expenses that the lawyer wishes to recoup. If the lawyer incurred hard costs in furtherance of your cause, then your lawyer is the one being cheated if you don't reimburse those costs.

Frankly speaking there is nothing much you can do. As you said, the first payment was the legal fee and subsequent was some imbursement fees. He is "legally" doing that.

When have you not been cheated by a lawyer. They're the leeches of society. Im sorry the legal system sucks and I wish you the best in getting money back from someone who has made it their lifes work to suck it from innocent people and free criminals for a small fee.

Refer the matter to the Courts. There is a process called "Taxation". It is when Lawyer and client cannot agree on the legal cost involved, the court will tax (assess) and make a judgement.

Contact your states bar association. you could even file a civil litigation against this attorney. Good luck.
