Hey guys!

My wisdom teeth are coming out and it hurts pretty bad LOL
I'm seeing my dentist in 2 weeks so I'll have to wait to hear his advice...

But do you guys have any idea how to make the pain go away?? I guess everyone has been through this ;)

Now I know why babies cry so much... thanks for your help =)

The over the counter topical items like anbesol or orajel are probably your best bets. Read the active ingredients on the box to see which one has the highest concentration of analgesics. I can't remember offhand which one it is, but one brand and type had high concentrations of a combo of two of the common pain relievers. The higher the percentage the better. I found that cough drops also helped to numb my mouth a little when I was having problems with my gums and tongue. Popsicles and ice packs can help with temporary pain relief too. Give your doctor or dentist a call to see if they have any recommendations for pain killers you can take until your appointment. If the appointment is actually to get them removed, make sure to wash you mouth frequently with listerine (it will hurt, but be worth it since if you get an infection they most likely will not operate) and let the dentist know you are concerned about the potential for infection as the teeth erupt. If you get a foul persistent taste in your mouth then an infection is probably setting in and you will need antibiotics to deal with that. Hope you feel better soon!! Best of luck...and keep your mouth very clean after the surgery to assure you don't get an oral infection! It's beyond disgusting!

I bet you've tried this, but painkillers could help. Maybe apply an ice pack on and off. Maybe popsickles could numb your mouth a little. Maybe see if your dentist has any cancellations and if they could fit you in sooner. Your dentist probably has better remedies than me :) Hope you feel better soon!

I used the Chloraseptic throat spray. That seemed to numb the area the best.

I took a lot of Advil and used cold compresses on my jaw a lot. If it's hurting you really badly, call your doctor and ask for something for the pain. Good luck with the dental appointment!

Anbesol or Orajel. Either one works pretty well. Get the Maximum strength. You can buy them at any drug store. They're topical, so you just place it right on top of where it hurts. Hope this helps you.

Ice pack, Advil Migraine, and pack your tooth with a paste made from ground cloves. It numbs the pain.

call the dental office and tell them 1st thing in the AM. You cannot have that pain for 2 weeks. My were impacted and had no place to grow and they were laying sideways.
