If your serious about this heres some links with information. Just remember mistakes can be really bad, some people have allergies to the stuff that cause horrendous outcomes, and removal is painful and expensive. If your still sure, do what you got to do.

First off, for those of you who think permanent makeup is FOREVER, you're extremely misinformed or have no experience with this subject. The name "Permanent makeup" is actually a misnomer, as the tattooed ink is not entered into the skin at the same depth as a regular tattoo. Therefore it FADES over time, with a few years it will have been faded out so much it will need a retouch if you want to keep the look going. Second off, if you think you're getting a great deal and paying only a hundred dollars or so, there is a reason: you get what you pay for. Those who are licensed and are experienced charge well and perform amazing beautiful looks. And for the person who said "if it's brown then it turns pink, if it's black it turns green" has experience with going to someone who is not trained well. If someones permanent makeup color turns those colors after time, then they do not understand how to take a clients underlying natural skin dominant pigment into consideration.
And remember, less is more. Get the eyeliner done but don't opt for the cat-eye flares. You can always add more when going out at night. Go for the subtle lash enhancement look (this darkens the base of the lashes and gives the illusion of a thicker set of lashes.) Go for colors that aren't bold and wild. Most excellent permanent makeup artists will lead you in this direction.
And remember people, sometimes people get their eyebrows done because of things like alopecia or chemotherapy and they just want to look normal again and a good hair stroke artist can accomplish that. You may have beautiful full brows but if you didn't, had to pencil them in and go through the embarrassment of sweating and having your brows come off, then you'll never know.

It is true, you definitely need a very good professional for this work. Normally I tell people to check out this website - www.spcp.org - to find someone but you are asking for Portland and you have by far one of the most highly regarded pros in the industry right there - Mary Jane Haake - Dermigraphics.

In any event, she also has a brilliantly efficient anesthetic line as well as doing sound procedures.

The results can look natural and while tattoo does fade over time, the touch ups are minimal and well worth the effort. All my clients are happy ones since my whole business is word of mouth referrals. I am sure hers is as well.

You can add simple enhancements and still have plenty of room for the trendy stuff. I have been doing this for years and wearing it for years - would not be without it - go for it!

Ok I go to a school where they teach this course and I know many girls who have had this done. I know most of it will eventually fade. Lots of girls have had the eyeliner. In my town it only takes a month of schooling and your certified. Just go to someone who is good at drawing. Because anyone can do a tatoo. But are they good at it is the question. Most girls eventually need to go in for touch ups. One girl got mad because the eyeliner didn't match each eye. But since I know it fades so much I've actually thought of it. I just gotta find a good artist. Good luck!

I did this 2 yrs ago -- but its not worth it--why?? because the first week my eyes were so itchy like when i got my tattoo done on my back-- maybe i was allergic-- so u may not have the same reactions-- but it looked good for about 1-2 weeks but after i had to just apply eyeliner on my eyes again!! and yeah it did sort of hurt while getting it done they freeze the eye area but u can still feel that razor going into ure eyelids while they put the ink into the lid.... i can stil see the eyeliner a little bit but its not noticeable to anyone else---i would say save ure money!!!

It depends who you go to. I have seen a disaster or two, but there is a local salon I have seen excellent results from. (sorry not in your area though ) I have seen the eye liner and eye brows on teenagers and much older women. Looks nice if you are the type that is going to wear makeup everyday anyways. A good quality place will offer free touch ups. My Friends eyes look awesome.

I've never really looked into permanent makeup, but i know a lady who got it for her eyebrows, and eyeliner. she did it black and it faded to a dark plum color. I wouldn't recommend it though. Don't be lazy, but give yourself extra time to do your makeup.

its not a good idea because you can never take it off!!! dont you love to experiment with ur make up and have it big on the top but none on your lower lids? or have wings with wild eye shadow? when its permanent you can't ever do anything special...plus ull be able to tell when u add wings or whatever wtih regular makeup cuz the shades of black will be different

thats another thing! dont u like to do white or blue or green eyeliner too?!?!?!?

OMG I have advice for permanent eyeliner! DON'T GET IT!!! Seriously...you'll regret it. And it's not just like a tattoo where you can cover it up...it's there FOREVER and right on your face where everyone can see it. Besides, one day you might want to go with just a little bit of make up for a kind of natural look, ya know? It's really not my place to say these things...but if you REALLY want to do it...then go ahead.
