Not a problem at all. Just download the free program, "Audiograbber" and it has line-in recording software. I'm currently using it to record vinyl records into Mp3's. So just plug line-in from whatever device into your micophone jack, play what it is you want to play, and press record on audiograbber. It has a number of options to make it .wma or mp3 or whatever you fancy. Hope this helps.
two things: you might need to buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm to do this or whatever cable, and also, make sure you open your comp's sound settings and unmute the line-in/microphone as it might be muted then adjusted the volume accordingly

Start/Programs/Accessories/
Entertainment/Sound Recorder.
.....Assuming you have Windows

You may also need to adjust volumne control or unmute your mic via volumne control. Go to Options / Advanced from Volumne control if you don't see the Mic available in the default volumne control.
