Look up the harrassment number in the front of your local phone book. It is illegal to harrass someone over the telephone. It's actually a federal offense. Call that number and follow the prompts. It will allow you to press a number after the person callas again, then every time they call after that it will be logged and a police report created. The telephone company will mail the person who pays the phone bill a warning before the police report happens.

Call the phone company for the call trace feature. Use can use it right after the last call from these people. The phone company will research the line and they will release the number and name of the person responsible to the police. The police can take a report. The phone company will also intervene and threaten to press charges if the calls do not cease. You could also get call block if you can get their number. GOOD luck!

What the police will tell you is that you need to contact your phone company who will then set up a trace so that they can record the calls. How you do this is everytime this person calls and hangs up you either punch in a code or write down the date and time of the calls.

Change your number and don't list it big deal it's only like 3.00 a month...or just take it off the hook.Hopefully you have a cell in case of an emergency though. And stop giving your # out to strangers I know if you are a man you must give it to women...right....big mistake!

Turn it off or don't answer. If they keep calling, unplug the phone. If they continue to call, call the police because what they are doing is harassment.

You are forced to unplug it til you wake up--
even though that means you will miss recording other calls during that period...
Hopefully the idiot will lose interest in the game over time.

Take the phone off the hook ; unplug it , or turn the volume all the way off . If you know who is doing it - block their number ; and get "privacy I.D.'' service .
