Yes, it does. All the little things that slither there have colors. Doubts, fears, even happiness and hope. They are all colorful and hide in the shadows. That gives the shadow color.

Uh no, a shadow is gray, a shade. The definition of shadow is practiacally colorless. You might be able to see color through shadow if it's pretty pale and the thing underneath it is bright but technically a shadow is colorless because it's not actually a thing. That's like asking if the reflection of something has the same wieght of the object. A shadow is SORT of like a reflection.

a shadow is formed by selectively blocking light rays from reaching the object which the shadow is being cast upon. Since light is comprised of a rainbow of colors, and the light is being PREVENTED from reaching an object then the object which the shadow is cast upon wouldnt be able to reflect or absorb the colors from the light ray. This is why shadows appear black. If you split a ray of light with a prizm, you wont find one of the colors displayed to be BLACK. So because youre blocking the transmission of the colors contained within the ray of light, what you see instead is the abscence of color prevented from being displayed by the object blocking the light.

BALLOONS do NOT HAVE COLORED SHADOWS. People who believe this are allowing themselves and their low IQs to be fooled by their lack of intellect

Yes. A Shadow is simply a darker value or tone that "shades" the underlying colours. Take a look at any shadow that is cast on any object...the green of grass, or the red of a balloon does not suddenly turn black or colourless simply because a shadow happens to fall on it's surface.

No, but the area where the shadow falls will be illuminated from other light sources, so those areas will reflect back the light that isn't absorbed by the pigment. I was in a lift the other day, and the light wasn't working. It was pitch-black except for the light on the button for the floor I was going to. That was interesting.
Here's one. What is the colour of unmined opal? Black.

no and it has to do with the 'cones' in your eyes...if there is a lack of light the "cones" cannot register colour and therefore it is always black. just like in the evening...depending on the light or lack of, you will not see colour very easily.

sorry about the cones...forgot exactly what they are specifially called.

Aha...rods and cones cells...
the cone cells work in bright light...rod cells work in less light minus the ablility to see colour
