I can not count the amount of times my 4 children have fallen, some from higher things than a 1 foot table. Just keep an eye on him, if he hit his head and cried straight away thats a good sign, you worry when they don't cry for the first minute. It sounds to me though that he will be ok. But then as a mother i always say if you have any doubt at all you should seek medical advice.

My son fell down 28 steps and it didn't hurt him at all. He graduated high school and college with honors. If the baby has been fine since the fall, don't worry about him he should be fine. If he had a concussion or if a bad swelling he should be seen by the doctor. Next time see that he is straped in or pull anything that he can get hurt on out of his reach. Put pillows on the floor incase he falls again.

Usually unless the child is acting strange or disoriented or the bump is inward like an indention not outward, then he should be fine. You might want to have him checked out if any of those things apply though. You should not let a child sleep for 30 minutes to an hour after he bumps his head though. If he is acting normal and it looks just like a regular bump on the head he should be fine. I guarentee you it won't be his last bump on the head by a long shot!

This is hard because he is still so young. Some warning signs to look for is lethargy, dialated pupils, not wanting to eat or play, excessive crying, or puking. If he shows any of these symptoms bring him in right away! It sounds like he was just startled, and that's why he cried for a short period of time. I would say he's probably going to be just fine, as like you say, these things do happen. Make sure your parents know this happened so they will know what to watch for as well.

my five or six month old daughter fell off her changing table while my back was turned for literally 3 seconds, and I turned around right in time to see her fall 3 feet, and also land square on her head, kink her neck and start screaming. i was hysterical, called the doctor. he told me to watch her eyes to make sure they didn't dilate and she would be fine. he didn't want me to even bring her in. he said they are very resilient and not to worry. she was just fine. so i'd say your brother is ok, but check his eyes...

If he seems different or there is swelling have him checked. My daughter who is now 11 months old, has rolled off the bed. She was completely fine. Just make sure that he does not seem any different. Even if its just that he is not drinking his formula the same. Have him checked.

Sometimes accidents happen. Babies are a lot tougher than most people give them credit for. My son was 6 weeks old when my other son pushed him off the couch. We checked him over, and observed him for any odd marks or behavior, but he was fine.

If he only fell a foot he is fine, unless he is acting strangely.
But it is time to get a strap for the change table, or change him on the floor.

A foot off the ground? I think you're fine...if it was 3 or 4, I might consider taking him in...but if it was seriously only a foot, I think you're fine.
