Republic. But don't confuse the terms republic and democracy. They are very different. In modern usage they have become almost synonymous; however, a classical study of these forms of government shows a drastic difference. Their commonality relates to both requiring government to subject to the populace.

I'm biased & I admit it, but I believe democracy, even with all its inefficiencies and foibles, is the best form of government humankind has come up with yet.
No one has been better at consistently figuring out what's best for people than the people themselves.

TRUE democracy not no fake stuff like what the united states is now... doesn't democracy mean ran BY the people... ok then y is it that bush is our voice? i am not saying i hate the guy i mean i jus hate that what he says goes and it's sappose 2 b ran by the people... the only true way 2 have a perfect thing would b hard.

I would say communism, but, then you wouldn't get to elect your leader, so I guess democracy, oh wait, we don't get to elect our leader either do we, that's right, the electoral college does that for us and they no longer always go with the popular vote, obviously, the 1st time Bush Jr got elected.
