Well, if you really want to get his attention, invite him out for dinner or just hang just the two of you. That way you can get to know his relaxed side better. You'll also be able to decied whether or not he'd be "boyfriend material". Just because he just came out of a long-term relationship doesn't mean he's devastated about it. Don't rush it, but don't go too slow either. He might be waiting for you to make the first move.

Well, you left out the age and his interests, and a price limit.
But here are some ideas.... hope they help
1. Here's a hint that will make your life simplier. ALL GUYS LOVE VIDEO GAMES. It could be action, racing, war, guns, stragety, but they do love them. Pick out a game that looks like his personality.
For example if he's manly.... I would go with "Call of Duty" which is military.
If he's geeky.... I would go with a magical game such as "lord of The Rings" (and there are 3 parts)
If he's goofy..."Metal Gear 3:Snake Eater" some of the scenes are quite amusing
If he likes horror movies.... "Resident Evil 4"
well, you pretty much get the picture.
2. Cds, DVDs, computer games
3. cd wallets, scarves, gloves, know his favorite band? Get him the tshirt, you can pretty much guess his size.
4. things for his car... steering wheel cover, cd visor, plug in air freshners, seat covers, floor mats
5. Then there is the more ordinary things... cologne sets, personal grooming kit, electric razor (to trim his mustache and such),
6. And finally... what is that store that you always hear him talk about shopping at? A game store, Best Buy? Get him a $30 gift card, and if you do or don't know him that well...he'll love taking it and going to buy himself "cool" stuff.
Have fun shopping and Merry Christmas.

Find a PRESENT for your computer or web page and keep searching at the photo album until you find the store with more mugs, tshirts and buttons, sticker, etc.

Each banner or image links to FLICKr photo album. If there is merchandise for the design, the store address is featured with the image at FLICKr.

Get him tickets to a show (not the movies, a real show) and dinner of course. It is win-win because you get to go and spend time with him
