All animals? Including the invertebrates, thats probably more than a million species. Would love to help you but I think we might just run out of space and time here...
If you mean common characteristics of the Animalia that would probably include autonomous movement as well as the absence of photosynthesis - they need to take in nutrients and get energy from it by the process of respiration where carbohydrates and oxygen are converted to carbondioxide and water.

An animal is defined as a multicellular, holozoic, heterotroph. This simply means that in order for an organism to be an animal it must be multicellular and hunt or find its own food. These are characteristics of ALL animals.

Hope this helps.

"Animals have several characteristics that set them apart from other living things. Animals are eukaryotic and usually multicellular (although see Myxozoa), which separates them from bacteria and most protists. They are heterotrophic, generally digesting food in an internal chamber, which separates them from plants and algae. They are also distinguished from plants, algae, and fungi by lacking cell walls."

Gorilla are NOT afraid of water. Most animals get the moisture they need from the foods they eat. Opossums play dead when threatened. Hummingbirds must stay active or they fall asleep. Most sharks must keep swimming to keep water moving across the gills. Dolphins must come to the surface to breadth. Deer can only see in black and white. omni? Beaver are rodents not lagamorphs. They don't eat their feces either.
