would it make a difference...my computer case is a 20 pin...and the mother board is 24...but it has that extra connection that gives it tht extra power i guess to make up the left over 4 pins...and its a 450watt...as i was installing it finished...but when i restarted it only had lines of colors on the screen...and the motherboard turning on woudnt beep...or anything it jus showed the startup and then went to colors...help please

Some motherboards can use either 20 pin or 24. Apparently yours does not. Since a 450w supply is plenty, I would just get an adapter to add the ATX 12V to the extra 4 pins. It is stupid that they suddenly changed and many mobo manufacturers did not include an adapter. I suppose you are getting a core2duo
