I think it is neat to give a boy his father's name as a middle name. Alan Emir sounds good.

It's called a family string when you tie the child's name in with the parents', and demonstrates the parents bonding to the idea of a child. So how is your bonding to the child going to be illustrated? (You can do it with an initial, or a syllable, or a part of his name that rhymes with part of yours, including you middle name, or your maiden name.)

i think Alan is cute, and honoring your husband is wonderful. don't know if i personally like the name...but family names are their to honor someone..so it really doesn't matter what i think. that name holds a special meaning for you and your family and that's all that matters hon. :)

its unique but sounds find to me and plus its after family.... so if anyone has a problem tell them to get over it.. as long as your happy with it why not!!!!!! go for it!!!!
