All cell phones are capable of making international calls. It depends on the company that's providing you the phone service (the company you pay every month), some companies have good international calling plans and some don't... From Canada to England the rate should be around 5 cents per minute...

it's not the equipment it's the plan you sign up for and if the company that provides you the service have a plan in which you can make international calls,

Any cell phone is able to make international calls I suppose.You just get a calling card if you don't want long distanced charged on your phone.My grandmother uses her cell phone to call Eng. sometimes.If you want to travel with your handset you purchase a worldphone.
