Yahoo mail comes from yahoo.com and does not forward the IP of the person who sent it. However, Yahoo knows the IP of the person who sent it. If it is a serious problem, you can seek legal action where yahoo will receive a subpoena to reveal the IP of the mailer.

If it is not serious, and you are not going to law enforcement, send the message and headers to abuse@yahoo.com and they will get kicked off

usually you need to go to e-mail account options and change something in there so it would display full headers..usually it's hidden by default..once it shows full headers you can get persons ip from there..

p.s. michael p...you are an idiot..yahoo shows ip number but it's off by default..if you go to Account Options/ Mail Options/ General Options/ and select Show all headers on incoming messages.. then it would show persons ip....no need to contact anyone..if someone sent you an e-mail you have the right to know who it was

You cqan view the header information of the email to see the path of the mail as it was sent by the user to their email server to each server until it gets to your email server.

You can then look up the IP address to see who owns the IP address range. You can then contact the ISP (forward them the email) to demand they deal with the user.
