So if "You can still ovulate while being pregnant" does that mean you can get pregnant while being pregnant??

I thought one of the joys and benefits of being pregnant was that you couldn't get re-pregnant. LOL

Crystal emailed me and said "This is very RARE but it does happen. Some women have two uteruses, and some women keep releasing eggs while pregnant. but like I said it is VERY RARE."

So this theory will be explored! It sounds interesting! Thanks Crystal!

You don't ovulate while you're pregnant.
If you did, you would get your period.
And you don't get your period when you're pregnant.
If you do, something is wrong.

Well, you don't still ovulate when you're pregnant -- the person who left that as part of an answer is wrong.

The same hormones that support pregnancy inhibit ovulation and menstruation. (You also don't menstruate when you're pregnant. You may bleed -- and because of that people often say "you can get your period when you're pregnant...I/my friend/my mom/etc. did!" -- but it's not a period.)

The extent to which, I suppose, someone might say it's true that you *could* get pregnant if "already pregnant" is that it is possible, actually, to be pregnant with multiples that have different fathers. Crazy, but true. But that isn't because a woman ovulated when she was already pregnant; rather, it would result from hyper-ovulation (or release of more than one egg in that cycle) and sperm from different partners/donors/whatever fertilizing those eggs. But while someone might use that as an example of getting "re-pregnant," as you put it, it really isn't that at all.

If, say, you're three months pregnant, you can't get "re-pregnant" and carry two babies that are due three months apart!

Not generally. This would be an extremely rare anomaly. Your hormones control ovulation, and when you are pregnant your hormone levels change to a point that does not support ovulation. This is the very reason that you should not take answers here seriously, especially medical q's. The idiocy in this forum is mindblowing. The planet is doomed. Were all going to die.

I had periods for three months during my pregnancy with my daughter, I also started out with triplets and lost 2 during gestation, You can actually get re-pregnant, not like bunnies, but if you drop more than one egg during ovulation, the other eggs have a chance of also being fertilized, so technically, you could get pregnant numerous times during your ovulatory cycle

This is impossible. A soon as you become pregnant the uterus is closed off from the vagina with a mucus plug. Their are no more releasing of eggs and no periods. You have nothing to worry about if your pregnant right now. If you are bleeding or having any pain, you should consult your ob-gyn.
