Infinite, but the odds increase against it exponentially with each occurrence. The odds, of course, also depend on what is happening. For instance, the odds flipping a coin heads-up 10 times in a row are greater that the odds of rolling six on a die 10 times in a row.

Over and over again. Seems like that happens more with bad things. One bad thing happens and then, all of a sudden, there's a cascade of bad things happening after that. Don't know why, it just does.
Example: mother in law died last Dec., house burned down in Jan., dear friend died in March, father in law died in June, my daughter took my granddaughter and moved far away in Sept., then, after my daughter decided to move home, she stayed a week and then moved back right after Thanksgiving....just wanted for the next ball to drop!

Once, I watched a guy bounce a quarter into a shot glass 137 times in a row.
Then, I blacked out and woke up with a hangover to end all hangovers.
