I ALWAYS have a 6-7 day cycle, days 2-3 usually the heaviest. This past one was 3 days late , started out as spotting and got slightly heavier then back to spotting the following day and is now gone (started Dec 11, ended as spottin on the 13th).
I am 38 soon to be 39, could this be the start of menopause or could I be pregnant?

Could be either. Take a home pregnancy test.

My Mom's going through the same thing right now but she is 50.
Menopause can happen at different times for different women but the symptoms you have described mirror my Mom's symptoms and there's no possible way she's pregnant, she stopped having sex years ago after she had me.
Talk to the doctor about this to determine exactly what is happening.

Last spring I skipped my period for 6 months and it was the best- and it was all because I was exercising too much and not getting enough intake. So if you are in some strenous activity it may be that, but just to be safe you should test for pregnancy.

Could be either of what you asked.... Wait a week or two then take a pregnancy test, if it's negative. . wait and see what happens next time around, if you have the same thing, then I would see a doc.
