LIKE and appreciate and miss:
I'm American, now living in the Middle East for one year, so I can say very quickly.... many retail and food products, living accommodations, entertainment, the general integrity and honesty of Americans, the laws, even simple ones; like the driving laws, the social programs available to help people, (from anti-smoking campaigns to soup kitchens to parenting, to financial aid and debt counselling), employment opportunity, fair practices in business, healthcare, the cleanliness of America and the diverse beauty from coast to coast.

DISLIKE:
Superficiality (based on appearances, age or social status, Las Vegas, allowing "profits" to create a "BIG SIZE" add-on in fast foods chains that has made many children and adults unhealthy, stereotyping, the fragmented family; where the old aren't cared about, wanted or admired, gangs, and MOST OF ALL- BIGOTRY. White America, in my opinion, (I am a white American female), despite diversity courses and our level of education and social sophistication, is still a bigoted society. I was closely involved in the Latino community and witnessed MUCH discrimination directed among the Latinos and Black Americans. Especially, in California and Arizona and Florida. Now that I am in the Middle East, I also am aware of the fear and ignorance that some Americans have for Arabic people, the customs and culture and Islam. Fear and ignorance breeds bigotry. Many people in the U.S. do not know the difference between being Arabic, or being a Muslim, or being an extremist.

PLEASE MAKE NOTE: I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS TRUE OF ALL AMERICAN'S, SO PLEASE DON'T OVER REACT AND MISUNDERSTAND MY MESSAGE. BESIDES, ITS BASED ON MY EXPERIENCES, AND IT'S ONLY "MY" VIEWPOINT. Doesn't make me right... doesn't make me wrong. I just answered the question. Thanks. OH...I forgot, I don't especially like the IRS. haha.

We are the same here, you can joke about people race withouth offending them or being offended because it is not a big deal for us, we like and respect everybody, no matter if you're blond, white, black, rich, poor, from Sweden or Ghana or Canada or Venezuela or USA or Japan. I also like the food (spacially the food in xmas) and the beaches...what I dont like? THIS STUPID president we have, Chávez!!!!! (he is guilty for the only kind of discrimination in my country: politic discrimination)

Being British is great. Our weather is the best, and the worst thing is all the immigrants coming in.
