Is it normal that our sense of intuition increases?

My mother and I have always had a very strong bond that has been clarified through significant incidents where I "read her mind," so to speak. Like that, but deeper than any old mind reading. And I found that lately my sense of intuition has been increasing. I have premonitions and guesses about the future that turn out to be correct. It freaks me out sometimes, but I think it's a cool thing. But is it normal for our sense of intuition to increase suddenly, without any real reason?

Yes! Absolutely! The more you use your gift, the more it becomes developed. It is fruit of your capacity of learning, of observing things, of inferring things, of crossing informations (mental), etc. It depends on the environment also and the receptivity of people around you. Don't know but I know of some that have always had that "gift" or "talent".
Prophesies, premonition dreams, premonition feelings, etc,
that the bible talk about are true. People had them back then & still do.
When people prophesied in the bible, the prophesies were such that they couldn't fortell by things around them. Something out of the blue that they couldn't have gathered (wouldn't see coming) on their own as it was something of the future they couldn't have guessed based on things going on around them or before. It's hard to explain & you can get some more detail from examples of what people prophesied before in the bible.
For prophets in the bible, it WASN'T a gift that they developed by observing things. They dreamt or were told things that would happen in the future that they couldn't have been able to gather on current info. The future holds stuff we can't fathom will happen.... hard to explain & I don't want to get too detailed. Read the bible for examples! :)
Prophesies should not be confused with intuitions they are completely different!
Prophets in the bible got attacked & even killed cuz people didn't like what they said! :) It didn't do them (the attackers) any good/benefit them, btw. {hug?}

I hold the opinion that this is the basis for telepathy.

We learn so much about people by just looking into their eyes and reading their facial expressions. We get used to this knowing a person so well.

What if telepathy is an extention of that? Maybe it's not 'magic' but something that's built off something else?

Now, of course, some people are more naturaly attuned to this.

But I think that since you started concidering this 'mind reading' as a legitamite possibility, two things happened.

1: You started looking for it occouring. I'm not saying you're lieing or confused, just that when we're curious about something, we notice it a lot more.

2: You may have broken down some sub-concious walls when you opened your mind to the possibility and which might have been hindering you or filtering out what it formerly deemed irrelevant. It may be that your inner mind decided that it's relevant now and started broadcasting it on frequencies you're able to pick up on.

I have found that my intuitive ability does wax and wane a bit, or at least that there are times when I get unexpected intuitions, or knowledge, or whatever, and other times when it is less active.
By practising your intuition, you should find you become more intuitive. (I tend to be instant, I need to grab that fleeting thought or image.) Practise your observation skills also. (Art classes can help with this.) You will probably find that you are more intuitive if you are with other intuitive people.
