They get a lawyer just like everybody else.

Lawyers almost always hire another lawyer to do their legal work for the same reasons a surgeon wont operate on his own family. It's hard to give objective advise to yourself.

Depends why the lawyer is being sued. If an offender is suing because he does not like his outcome, it will never see the inside of a courtroom. Judges and attorneys are immuned from being sued.

deliver it to the maker of the mac & cheese. you may get some unfastened packing containers of the stuff out of them, in case you're nevertheless attracted to ever eating their product lower back. A lawyer can not do something for you. in case you had eaten the maggots, gotten ill, and incurred scientific costs then possibly get a lawyer. good now all that's going to take to make you "total" from a criminal point of view is to reimburse you for the fee of the product. i'm specific you may get the keep the place to procure it to try this. And in case you already threw it away, not something you're able to do.

In almost every case the lawyer would be smart enough not to do that.

Almost never. If they have E&O insurance, their insurers appoint and pay for an experienced defense attorney.
