i live near a airplane port (no jet planes!).......there are foxs that live in the fields.......i luv them!.....what do they do during the winter?.......do they go in there houses & stay there all winter?.......do they still roam around?.....i realy want to know!!!^-^

They are still active and hunt- they can hear mice running around under the snow in show tunnels and can dig in to find them. I know that in the winter we have foxes right on the premises of our horse stable- they keep the mice down better than the cats do.

Because foxes are larger preditors, they can afford to remain active during the winter. Havn't you ever seen pictures of foxes jumping into the air in a snowy field? They are hunting small rodents in the snow covered tunnels. The foxes can hear them under the snow and hunt year round.

They still roam around. (Don't leave your cat outside....they eat cats.) Foxes hunt. They may stay in their den while it's very cold, but will come back out when it's warmer. NEVER FEED ANY WILD ANIMAL!!!!!!

They continue to hunt just like they would during any other times of the year --They are very cool to watch --so cute--

usually they go back to their dens.leave food for them incase they get nibbly.
