I don't live close to him so I don't know what he is into, but he is kind of punk and he downloads his own music (so that is out). I am so lost!! What about a gift card? Is that lame or what???

Gift cards are awesome and now you can buy them where they are actually VISA cards so they can spend them anywhere. You can usually buy them at a bank or I've even found them at Office Depot.

I think you should carry him to the mall and help him find his look. By that I mean carry him to a store where a lady can help dress him from head to toe. (Not his mom) I would find someone that was cute and had style. Probably the girl working there that he's looking at anyway :) Let him buy about two three looks. He'll learn the real importance of appearance and bring that woman home mom wants to see :) P.S. looking good keeps confidence high and grades up.
