Here is an article about her, but not technically an obituary. There was a very brief funeral announcement in the Gilmer newspaper, but I did not see a longer obituary.

04-20, Local: Services today for former leader in extension office

GILMER — Services for Amy Dean Logan, 32, of Gilmer will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Gilmer with Dr. David Jenkins, the Revs. Mike Cook and O.D. Oliver officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. She died Thursday in a Houston hospital.

Logan is a former assistant Gregg County Extension Agent and served as executive director of the Upshur County Economic Development Board for 21/2 years. She was also a Paul Harris Fellow in the Gilmer Rotary Club.

As the former assistant county extension agent in Gregg County, Logan worked as an assistant to Sandra Risinger and Rex Youngblood. Risinger said Logan worked for Gregg County for about two years.

"Amy was a fabulous co-worker who always had a smile," Risinger said. "She was very professional, but also had fun."

Risinger said Logan easily gained the respect and admiration of both youths and adults she worked with.

"Amy was easy to like and was an excellent role model for our 4-H members," Risinger said.

Presiding Gilmer Municipal Judge Becky Skinner said she had been a lifelong friend of Logan. Skinner will be serving as an honorary pall bearer at the funeral.

"She was so brave and such an inspiration to all who knew her," Skinner said of Logan, who was diagnosed with cancer just over two years ago.

"Through this whole ordeal she never was one to ask, 'Why me?' "

Skinner called her friend a fighter. "She didn't want to give up. She fought until the bitter end," Skinner said. Skinner said she will remember Logan as someone who was always smiling, who always had a kind word to say and a person who was "sweet and precious."

Debbie Wood, who is executive director of Gilmer's Main Street Program, said she had worked with Logan in her capacity as executive director of economic development for Upshur County.

"She was one of the sweetest people you'd ever know," Wood said. Wood said one of her own highlights since moving to Gilmer had been in attending Logan's wedding and that of her sister.

"She was born and raised here and worked hard to make this a better place," Wood said.

Logan was born Feb. 23, 1970, in Longview. In 1999, she married Galen Logan in Gilmer. She held undergraduate degrees from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and Stephen F. Austin State University. She attended Baylor University and completed economic development certification at Texas A&M.

Logan is survived by her husband, Galen Logan of Gilmer; her parents, Steve and Linda Kay Dean of Gilmer; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Bryan Barton of Gilmer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jane Dean Hess and Mr. and Mrs. Houston Belew.

I love the identify Dean.. It rings a bell in my memory of the unhealthy boy, insurgent variety. Probably when you consider that of James Dean and in addition Dean from Supernatural. I additionally like Logan. Logan Dean might make a well first and core identify. They additionally make a well sib set.
