You have to sluff off the negative comments. Do not associate with people that bring you down. That is your weakness.
Listen to yourself, learn from your goofs, try them again with new knowledge, practice, or training, and keep trying new things.
Don't make dumb mistakes. They can get you killed. Make smart mistakes.

It is definitely all right to try new things. That's the way we all learn through our dumb mistakes! There is no-one perfect. Even the smartest person can make a mistake. You can see that all the time. Even those who would not admit them! All right; some would laugh... Dear Heart; Laugh with them! Don't be so hard on yourself. You can do great things. Just focus on success and forget about those dummies. Ignore them and stay attentive and focus on the right thing to do in any situation. What you perceive as being the right thing is no business of others as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, and most especially yourself! Be positive and honest in everything you do and soon those backstabbing people will be left far behind you because you will have outgrown them and they will turn to another victim who will accomodate their ego trip.
Good luck dear Heart and if you want to remain silent, that is your right too. You know what is good for your happiness.

Yes, it is very much OK to make dumb mistakes. Everyone does it. In fact, it is better for you to have made a mistake then to have not acted at all. Remaining silent when you believe you should act is never a good idea - There is always something you can do. And if that something turns out to be wrong, then you have gained a valuable learning experience.
We learn valuable lessons when we make mistakes and get past them. It is a critical process in discovering who we are, and deciding who we want to be. These experiences can help us to learn things about other people, about the world around us, about life in general, and can help to shape our worldviews.
We are the sum total of our previous experiences. They make us who we are. We can do nothing that does not somehow exist within the realm of our previous experiences. This makes these opportunities to learn from our mistakes all the more important.
You should not be so concerned with how other people react to your choices. If you believe you have acted rightly, you should stick to that, and not let anyone tell you otherwise (until you learn otherwise yourself.)
Never let anyone hinder your abilities. Never allow anybody to hold you down. Your life is here for you. It is up to you to claim it.

The only way to ever learn something new is to try and fail at first. Thomas Edison 'failed' over 1000 times before he invented the light bulb. He would say that he succeeded over 1000 times in determining the way NOT to make a light bulb.
People who laugh at you simply lack the guts to try themselves. To be great is to risk looking foolish in the quest for new skills. Now, doing something dumb is different than simply looking foolish as you try and fail at something new. If you are truly doing dumb things, then you should stop doing them. But ALWAYS be willing to try new things. It's the ONLY way you will learn new things.
And yes, it can be difficult to look foolish in front of others. I would suggest focusing instead on your reasons for wanting to succeed and how good it will feel when you do succeed. Ultimately, who cares what other people think. Don't live your life seeking the approval of others.

It's ok for you to try new things, if it turns out good then be happy but if the opposite happens, be thankful at least you learned something from it. What's important is the experience and lessons you gain from that situation.
Maybe she's mad because she loves you so much and she wants only the best for you. If you do something dumb, she's hurt also. As for other who laugh at you, don't mind them, what's important is you don't hurt anybody in order to fulfill your goal.
Live life and be happy.

It is always tempting to learn from experience and try new things. And usually this is the best way to learn. However, certain topics, like hard drugs or dangerous stunts are simply left alone; not everything should be tried.
As for people getting upset with you over your actions, you have to ask yourself a few questions. Do these people really care about me and want me to live my life the way I want to live it or are they simply trying to force their ideas on me? Are they getting upset because they are worried about me? Or do they simply not understand me? In life we meet all types and only those that are supportive and make the effort to understand you are worth holding on to. The rest can go to Hell.

people can be harsh judges, and they're never (and i mean, never) really going to know you as well as you would like, or understand why you do the things you do, or what you are going through when they hurt you. the best you can do is to know yourself. and yes, it's ok, in fact it's great!, to try new things and make mistakes. that means you're brave, and i'm guessing a lot braver than the folks who are laughing at you. try to let it slide off--water off a duck's back, as they say.

Try new things, that is what makes life fun. If you make mistakes learn from them and as far as people backstabbing, that will never go away, people are like that.
