I know little about PC's and less about web cam's. Can anyone tell me which is best, do I need any extra cards in my PC to go with XP and what is Skype? Thanks.

Go to Argos and buy the cheapest!
No you do not need and cards, just install the software BEFORE you plug in the camera.
Skype is the popular Internet video and phone software package.

logitech has some nice inexpensive (cheap) cams. Sometimes the initial install of the software is quirky. always download the latest.
