Yesterday morning, I got a giant pimple on my nose. So, last night, I washed my face like I normally do (with warm water and a plain bar of soap) and then I went downstairs to my kitchen and got out an egg. Cracked it, put the white in a bowl and mixed it a little. After I did this, I immediatly applied it all over my face using a cotton ball swab. PERFECT RESULTS. Within seconds, my skin started tightening, my pores looked fabulous, and I felt refreshed. I left it on for about 10 minutes, and when I washed it off, I already noticed that my pimple was smaller, my pores were smaller, and, I got a compliment from my finace! This morning, I woke up, and it was gone! Magic. Also, I've tried toothpaste before, which works really well as well. Just put a little dab on the pimple right before bed, and Presto! Good Luck!

Try a face mask made of plain organic yogurt once a week. The beneficial bacteria will fight the bad bacteria and it also has lactic acid in it which is a mild exfoliant, so it will help clear pores. Leave it on at least 10 minutes and remove with a steamy but not too hot washcloth. You can eat the rest of the yogurt to get the benefit of that bacteria internally as well. A lot of skin problems are actually caused by digestion problems, so it's great to eat as well as use as a mask. One thing I never realized either is that washing your face twice and rinsing very well helps a LOT. Afterward make sure to use a light moisturizer to replenish the skin so it doesn't produce excess oil to re-moisten it.

If you are still in your teens you are just going through puberty and having a few pimples are to be expected, so dont sweat it, but if you're past that stage try to think about what you eat because that has alot to do with it. Like for me for instance, I break out with maybe one or two pimples the next day if I indulge in chocolate or dark soda. So watch what you eat.

Allure magazine's editor in chief was on Tyra's show last night debunking beauty myths. She said the tooth paste thing is a total sham and doesn't work. Better to crush up aspirin, mix with water to form a paste and dab on the zit. Aspirin containts salsylic acid which will help dry out the zit.

Tootpaste will just be goopy on your skin. It contains so many additives like flouride, whiteners, etc. that it will just clog your pores and do more harm than good.

Toothpaste does work but it needs to be the kind that has baking soda in it. Baking Soda made into a paste with water works but when it drys out , it flakes off right away. You might want to do it at night and have a small bandaid on it until morning to keep the paste on. My grandmother said that when she was a girl (1920s) they would take a small amount of tobacco out of a cigarette and make a paste with water and put it on over night to draw out the infection. I don't know if I'd recommend that one or not.

Toothpaste supposedly doesn't work. Crush up aspirin with just a teeny bit of water to make a paste and then put it on the pimple. That should do the trick.

toothpaste has never worked for me, but I hear a lot of people use it. Lemon juice dries them out nice, but if you have any open cuts it will hurt. Someone posted here a couple days ago that sperm clears pimples, but I'm not sure you want to be smearing that on your face every night.

Actually, the tooth paste thing does work. It just takes like maybe 5 days - a week or more for it to actually do the trick.

Using rubbing alcohol works though. It dries them up.
[Every house should have some rubbing alcohol]

If you don't, just wash your face wish soap every night.
And if you have baby powder use that too on your face.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
