Mine are ''Stole'' by Kelly Rowland ... it's kind of old but one that stuck in my mind. (It's about young kids losing their lives to murder etc)
Also, ''Runaway Love'' By Ludacris and Mary J Blige. It's new. (about kids running away who have bad lives at home, I saw the music video at the nail salon and cried right there lol)
you?

Gotta go there and listen.
It's sung by about a 6 year old little girl.
Dear Mr. Jesus, I just had to write to you.
Something really scared me, when I saw it on the news;
A story 'bout a little girl, beaten black and blue.
Jesus, thought I'd take this right to you.
Dear Mr. Jesus, I don't understand
Why they took her mom and dad away.
I know that they don't mean to hit with wild and angry hands.
Tell them just how big they are, I pray.
Please, don't let them hurt your children.
We need love and shelter from the storm.
Please, don't let them hurt your children.
Won't you keep us safe and warm?
Dear Mr. Jesus, they say that she may die.
Oh, I hope the doctors stop the pain.
I know that you could save her and take her up to the sky
So she would never have to hurt again.
Please, don't let them hurt your children.
We need love and shelter from the storm.
Please, don't let them hurt your children.
Won't you keep us safe and warm?
Dear Mr. Jesus, please tell me what to do
And please don't tell my daddy,
But my mommy hits me, too.
Please, don't let them hurt your children.
We need love and shelter from the storm.
Please don't let them hurt your children.
Won't you keep us safe and warm?

THE CHRISTMAS SHOES by Bob Carlisle
Here are some of the lyrics:
It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing 'round like little boys do
And in his hands he held a pair of shoes
His clothes were worn and ole, he was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his time to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say
CHORUS:
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight
He counted pennies for what seemed like year
Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"
He searched his pockets frantically
Then he turned and he looked at me
He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes
So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
I'll never forget the look on his face when he said
Mama's gonna look so great
CHORUS REPEATS
BRIDGE:
I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven't love
As he thanked me and ran out
I knew that God had sent that little boy
To remind me just what Christmas is all about
Repeat Chorus

Leader of the Band by Dan Fogelberg
An only child
Alone and wild
A cabinet maker's son
His hands were meant
For different work
And his heart was known
To none --
He left his home
And went his lone
And solitary way
And he gave to me
A gift i know i never
Can repay
A quiet man of music
Denied a simpler fate
He tried to be a soldier once
But his music wouldn't wait
He earned his love
Through discipline
A thundering, velvet hand
His gentle means of sculpting souls
Took me years to understand
The leader of the band is tired
And his eyes are growing old
But his blood runs through
My instrument
And his song is in my soul --
My life has been a poor attempt
To imitate the man
I'm just a living legacy
To the leader of the band.
My brothers' lives were
Different
For they heard another call
One went to chicago
And the other to st. paul
And i'm in colorado
When i'm not in some hotel
Living out this life i've chose
And come to know so well.
thank you for the music
And your stories of the road
I thank you for the freedom
When it came my time to go --
I thank you for the kindness
And the times when you got tough
And, pap, i don't think i
Said 'i love you' near enough --
The leader of the band is tired
And his eyes are growing old
But his blood runs through
My instrument
And his song is in my soul --
My life has been a poor attempt
To imitate the man
I'm just a living legacy
To the leader of the band
I am the living legacy
To the leader of the band

Immortal Technique - Dance With the Devil
Granted it's rap, but judging by your Ludacris choice I don't think you'll mind. It's about a kid who wants to get into a gang, and his initiation is to rape a woman. They take a woman up to the top of a building, and after he's done raping her he realizes it's his mom walking home from work late at night.
