she's a poster girl for the vans warped tour, but she's not dark-punk rock at all. we've been friends for years, but she's so hard to shop for! she's picky, she lives in LA, works in the music industry but she doesn't need anything music related - she has enough of that. give me creative ideas, she's opening this in front of her family and she's 24.

Your friend sounds like a snob. Why not try getting her vans? Or does she already own those? Hmm... My best suggestion is going to Hot Topic of Urban Outfitters and picking out some of the clever, cool, and chic items they have there, either in clothing or in personal items. Or you could just get her a gift cert to those places.
I think, personally, for your best friends you should get them PSPs....can't go wrong with that! :-D
well, if she's in LA, you can always get her a gift certificate to In and Out Burger!

How about something for the softer side of her? A visit to a masseuse...pay for a series of manicures and pedicures...buy her a pink angora sweater. Pick out a pretty feminine night gown. Go to an
amusement park together and ride everything.
Give her a little hand made book with I promises in it...
Like I promise I will always be here for you...
I promise that I will call you more
I promise that we will go out once a month to a movie or club...
They are fun to start and I am sure that you can think more

The best thing I would do is save up some money and give her tickets to a concert of her favorite band. Maybe try to get a t-shirt to bring along and try to have one of her fav singers sign it. I know that would be a wonderful gift no matter how old i got.
