I like to original with Gene Wilder better. The newer one is more true to the book, but I also thought it was a little creepy too.

I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It may have not went with the book, but it allowed us to finally see what kind of childhood Willy Wonka came from. Also, Tim Burton is an amazing director and he made the newer one more fresh for the audience of this time. This is one also had more humor to it, the original one was too serious for my liking.

The original, althoughthe new one is more faithful to the book, Gene' Wilder as Willy will always have a special place in my heart. Here's a question for you. In the new film the actor who plays Charlies dad is in 2 Cameron Crowe films. What are they?

The original. The boy simply played it to the heart, and so did willy wonka.

I'm going to have to go with the original on this one even though I absolutely love Johnny Depp. He was just a little too weird.

I thought the original couldn't be improved upon, but...there are a few things in Johnny Depp's performance that was pretty cool.
