Since the earth is on a tilt when where in winter we are farther away. I was just wounduring how much.

No. we're actually at closest approach to the sun during Winter in the northern hemisphere.

The tilt in the Earth's axis of rotation causes the seasons, not the distance from the sun.

Distance at Winter Solstice: about 91.5 million miles

Distance at Summer Solstice: about 95.5 million miles

Mean distance: 93 million miles

Hi. Earth's orbit has an eccentricity of 0.0167, not very much. At this point in time, the Earth is closer to the Sun in winter in the Northern hemisphere. Not sure of the exact distance because I'd need an exact date.
