My three month old is getting big for her bassinet.
My mom lives with me and my husband and two children. Now sheused to have her own room until the new baby was born. Then we turned it into a nursery and put a small bed in there for her.
Now should I put the crib in my room or put the baby in there?
I don't know. I want to get up with my own child. But i dont' want her to get used to sleeping in my room. I don't want my mom to get up with her in the night and i don't want the baby to get used to my mom being in there. i have no other room my mom to sleep. I dont' want the baby to sleep in her sisters room because she has to get up for school plus the room is to small...
What shoudl I do

Lot's of parents have there babies room in for the first 12 months of life. This shouldn't be a problem to have the crib in your bedroom for the first year. Good Luck to you on this.

Does 2 children include the baby? If you have 2 older children, have them in the same room for now. Otherwise, I would put the baby in with your daughter. She will learn to sleep through her sister getting up. I have a friend with 6 children and 3 share a room. They do fine with babies. Your older child will not wake when the baby does either. Maybe if your mom's room is bigger move both children in there and give your mom the smaller room.
I would not want your mom to get up with the baby either. It is a lot to ask.
We also have neighbors who changed a closet into a nursery. If you have a decent sized closet -- perhaps that would work for a time.

I would put the baby in your Moms room. I am sure MOm goes to sleep after the baby. So the baby will not know your Mom is ion there. Just have your Mom not get up with baby and make sure you have a monitor. Then I would start considering a larger house or converting the garage over to a new Master Bedroom.

Put the crib in your room so that you are the one getting up to care for the baby. If you can place the crib as far from your bed as possible, that will be the best you can do.
Even if you choose to put the crib in your mom's room, the baby will still get used to having someone in teh room with her, so you can't avoid that. But you can avoid disturbing your mom and having her take over the nighttime caregiving by keeping the baby with you.
If you choose to put the baby in with her sisters, again, she'll still be used to having company, but at this age she's still waking at night for feedings, and it would be better to wait until she starts sleeping through the night before you move her in with the other 2.
Good luck!

I would put your baby in your room. You don't want to feel like you are putting your responsibility on your mother. (that's how i would feel anyway) The baby should be fine sleeping in your room as long as its not right in your bed with you and she will probably transfer into another room easily when you have the space.

We live in a one bedroom apartment... so the three of use sleep in the same room. My daugter is 7 months old now... of course it's not ideal, but you do what you have to. If your mom doesn't mind being disturbed throughout the night then get the rest and privacy you need!!

Tough situation. My best advice would be to put the babies crib in your room as shes close and you know that you'll hear her to get up with her, not your mom. Best Wishes.

Would you feel comfortable putting the baby in the living room?
Ask your mom her opinion also about what can be done.

as long as she sleeps in her own bed she can sleep in your room. Just don't let her get in bed with you as that is where problems start.
